This is a spot that has an interesting folklore to it. The name itself is composed of two words, “Dain” and “Thlen”. Legends say that long ago in Sohra, Meghalaya, there lived a gigantic snake or “Thlen” in a cave in the area who terrorized the villagers. One day, the villagers killed the Thlen to restore peace. The spot where the Thlen was killed is adjacent to the waterfalls and hence the name “Dain Thlen”.
Dain Thlen Falls is located at a distance of approx 13 KM from our resort and can be reached within 33 mins.
